Due to the Covid-19 Virus, we regret that no new in-home assessments are being done. We are happy to take your referral information and will contact you as soon as it is safe for our potential clients to have an in-home visit from the director.
The mission of the Methow Valley Guardian Angels program is to improve the care and support of the elderly and persons with chronic illnesses or disabilities in our community, through personal contact by a special friend, a Guardian Angel.
The Methow Valley Guardian Angels (MVGA) Program matches volunteers to those people in our community who want to remain in their home, but are at risk of becoming socially or physically isolated. The MVGA Volunteer provides, foremost, a caring relationship to his or her client. Depending on the Client's needs, relationships may include light housekeeping, transportation to medical appointments and/or shopping.
This site provides the following information to the Methow Valley community:
- Introduces the MVGA Program and a bit of its history,
- Offers potential Volunteers, Clients, and/or Client families introductory information related to the Program,
- Provides event notices to MVGA Volunteers,
- Offers resources to MVGA Volunteers in support of their caring mission.
